Marshfield Man Going to Trial for Murder

-The Marshfield man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, and mother of his child, made an appearance in Wood County Court on Tuesday.
Gabriel Campos allegedly murdered Maise McCoullough, age 18 of Marshfield, back in September. Campos is currently being held in the Wood County Jail on a 5 million dollar cash bond.
Campos had called the police and turned himself in at a Wisconsin Rapids Hotel where police officers found his son and took him into their custody.
At one point, Campos said he was "sorry" and he "didn't mean for anything like this to happen." Their child is currently in the custody of his grandparents.
Campos will be going to trial for his crimes. At Tuesday’s pre-trial conference, several court dates were set including Campos’ trial which will start at the end of June.
