Jackson County Man Charged For Injuring Officers

-A Jackson County man who had been shot has officially had charges filed against him.
Robert Schafer was shot by Jarrod Thompson after Schafer violated a restraining order filed against him by Lori Peterson and after he engaged Thompson in a threatening manner.
Police had tried to arrest Schaffer last week, but he tried to escape through a window even with his recent gunshot wound.
He continued to resist arrest and he injured the officers that were trying to restrain him. The officers eventually tased him and he then gave up, but only after resisting the taser for five minutes.
Two officers did go to the hospital for their injuries and the charges against him are for hurting the officers.
