Dux Leads Neillsville Past Gilman

Freshman Mike Dux scored 18 points to lead the Neillsville boys basketball team past Gilman on Thursday night 56-40.
Neillsville(3-0) built a 10 point halftime lead thanks in part to Dux's 11 points which included three 3's. A strong man-to-man defense helped the Warriors build a 54-27 lead heading into the fourth quarter and they then hung on despite the efforts of Jerrod Kulesa and Tyler Amborn of the Pirates who comibined for 11 points in the fourth quarter.
Mike Dux led Neillsville with 18 points, his brother Matt added 16. Gilman's Kulesa led all scorers with 22 points and Amborn added 11.
The Warriors will host Loyal on Tuesday night.
