Brief Meeting for Greenwood School Board

-It was a brief meeting for the Greenwood School Board on Monday evening.
The board accepted donations from two graduated classes of Greenwood. The class of 1962 donated 1,000 dollars to be used for various scholarships. The class and staff of 1972 also donated 1,000 dollars to be used for scholarships.
The board approved several subs and teaching assistants. Andrew Learmen was approved for an assistant technology education position. Rhonda Opelt, Greenwood’s Math teacher, was hired as the Dance Club instructor as well.
Several policies were reviewed by the board including Title 1, Facility Use, and others. At the next meeting the board will do a second reading of the Administrator’s Policy.
Finally, the band trip down to Chicago in May of 2013 was accepted.
