Wisconsin Still in Drought

-Even with the heavy rain showers Wisconsin has recently received, most of the state is still in some stage of drought.
According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor report, about 91 percent of Wisconsin was still abnormally dry or worse.
According to the federal agency, no part of Wisconsin has been in exceptional drought during the past growing season, but the report notes that about a quarter of the state's land area remains in a severe drought.
Keep in mind though that the federal agency’s map reflects the state of the nation's drought condition as of Tuesday, so the showers that fell since then would not be factored into the weekly update.
