Annual Meeting and Special School Board Meeting at Granton

-The Granton School Board held two very important meetings on Monday and Tuesday evening.
On Monday, the board held its Annual meeting with members of the community.
A tax levy of 1,167,969 dollars was approved at a tax levy rate of .01234%. They also recommended and approved maintaining the school board salaries at their present rate.
The school board was given the approval to authorize the funding and continuance of the daily milk break for grades Pre-K through 5th grade.
The board was also given approval to use short term borrowing for cash flow purposes if necessary. The Annual Meeting for next year was set for Monday, October 28th.
At the Special School Board Meeting on Tuesday night, the board did give the final go ahead for the tax levy of 1,167,969 dollars. That was the only item on the agenda for Tuesday.
