BIG SNOWSTORM PREDICTED
Wednesday, February 15th, 2006 -- 12:12 pm
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Our listening area is preparing for what could be the most significant snowstorm of the year as a Winter Storm Watch has been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning.

Virtually our entire listening area is in the Warning box from midnight Wednesday night through Thursday night. Forecasters predict a foot of snow in some areas. The heaviest snow should hold off until tomorrow morning, according to Todd Shea of the National Weather Service in La Crosse.

We should also be on the lookout for significant blowing and drifting snow, Shea says.
