-The Clark County District Attorney candidates paid a visit to the Neillsville City Council Meeting on Tuesday evening.

Mayor Steve Mabie had asked both candidates to appear, stressing the importance of the position.

Lyndsey Boon-Brunette and Shari Post were both given a short amount of time to explain their qualifications and why they’re running for District Attorney.

A council member also informed the group that the doctor at Memorial Medical Center, that owns the pot-bellied pigs that the city decided can no longer be here, did resign since she can’t have the pigs in the city.

The board was also informed that the raze orders that the city has requested are still processing and Mayor Mabie talked about a League of Elected officials meeting that he attended which he said was very informative. Mayor Mabie also read a letter he received about the American Legion and their recent refinancing and brought up the new Emergency Management Director John Ross.

Mayor Mabie also attended the recent business after five and was very impressed with the tour of the OEM Fabricators Business. However, he did note that he would like to help OEM somehow because they have a lot of business, but they don’t have enough help. Mayor Mabie said a big reason behind that is because of the lack of training by most laborers.
