-A Black River Falls man made an initial appearance in Jackson County Court on Monday.

Kyle Rott, age 19, is facing a charge of arson after he admitted to police that he burned down the Rustic Mill Tavern last July.

Rott said that he carried gasoline into the tavern, poured it all over the bar, and set it on fire.

If convicted of the charge of arson, Rott could serve up to 40 years in prison.

He has currently been released from jail on a signature bond and he will appear in court again at the beginning of November.
