NOAA Predicts Dry, Warm Winter

Wisconsinites can expect below average snowfall this winter, according to the winter outlook from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The prediction means drought relief might not come through the winter months. NOAA warned this winter was harder to predict than usual because a critical weather system, El Nino, didn't develop in the Pacific.

The agency said in Wisconsin and the Midwest there's equal chance for above normal, near normal or below normal temperatures this winter. Meteorologist, Nick Grunseth says when they say this winter will be warmer than average, it might just be a couple of degrees above average.
