-A community needs assessment was recently conducted to understand the community, natural resources and economic development needs in Clark County.

Amy Jahnke, Interim Community, Natural Resources, and Economic Development, or CNRED, Educator at Clark County UW-Extension, conducted the study by including county department heads and community and business leaders from across the county in interviews, focus groups and surveys.

The results of the community needs assessment will be used in the future to guide development of educational programs that could be administered by a UW-Extension CNRED Educator in Clark County.

Four main areas were identified as community resource development priorities. They are workforce development, organizational development, business development and entrepreneurship, and marketing and promotion.
