Officers Report at City Council Meeting

-Neillsville Police Chief, Brad Linder, gave an officers report at the recent city council meeting.

Fortunately, the city did not receive any major calls, just the usual small town items that are found in most cities the size of Neillsville.

He also gave an update on the new officers and how they’re doing. Both are doing very well and Chief Linder said that both men are quick learners.

Chief Linder also brought up the toilet paper that was strung around the city during homecoming. He commented on the fact that it is done as a visual gag and every time when of Neillsville’s officers tried to find those responsible, they’d slip away.

The city council did express anger towards the individuals wishing that they would only get those who have a connection to homecoming. One member said, “it’s one thing to get the coaches or players, but when they toilet paper my 80-year-old neighbors, that’s just upsetting.”

Another member suggested that the school find volunteers to clean up the mess. Chief Linder said that at one point the School Syudent Council use to do it, but recently stopped.
