Wood County Frac Sand Fees Begin

-All but one of the frac sand mining companies in Wood County have signed and returned an agreement to haul the sand on county roads.
This agreement states that frac sand companies operating in Wood County must pay a fee for road upgrades.
This applies only to county roads that the trucks drive on to get to their processing facilities.
The weight limits started on Monday and if a company hauls sand on Highways A or H without an agreement, they will be fined.
CARBO Ceramics is the only company that hasn’t signed at this point. Panther Creek, Completion Industrial Minerals, and Yellowstone Industrial Park did all sign a one year agreement.
