MORE INFO: Clark County Man Found
Monday, September 17th, 2012 -- 8:13 am Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
-A Rock Dam man was found safe and sound after he’d been missing for two days.
Bradley Pohlmeyer was reported missing Friday after he had left Wednesday afternoon to find a good spot to go squirrel hunting.
Pohlmeyer’s family said he often goes out on his own and didn’t report him missing sooner because he keeps to himself.
Pohlmeyer also suffered a brain injury many years ago, so his sense of direction is limited.
Search crews thought that this was going to be a recovery mission, but were thrilled when they found him alive and well on Friday. He was found sitting under a tree in the Township of North Foster.
The Greenwood Fire and Ambulance, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Clark County Forestry and Parks Department, K-9 Units from Clark and Jackson Counties, Spirit Air Medical Transport and Clark County Sheriff’s Department all assisted with the search.
When Pohlmeyer was found he was less than a mile from his home and he was given water and chocolate.
Pohlmeyer was taken to the hospital for possible dehydration and for precautionary measures.
