Thorp Man Pleads Guilty to Battery and Disorderly Conduct

-A Thorp man has plead guilty to several charges the stemmed from his attempted strangulation of his boss.

Early this year, Scott Gurklis had attempted to strangle his boss after a heated argument. At the beginning of August, Gurklis had entered a not guilty plea due to the crime, but a deal was reached if he changed his plea.

Gurklis has pleaded guilty to two counts of battery and one count of disorderly conduct which are all misdemeanors.

Gurklis owes the courts a total of $763.55. He will also serve 45 days in jail as well as probation. However, he could face more time in jail if he fails to comply with all the terms of his probation.
