-The Neillsville School District continues to save energy.

Schools today face a litany of decisions when it comes to their budgets. With all those decisions to be made, Neillsville has found ways to save the school district money by conserving energy. CESA 10, the Cooperative Educational Service Agency based in Chippewa Falls, has helped the district save $17,229 in the last twelve months alone.

The district has averted over $36,730 in energy costs since they began working with CESA 10’s Energy Management Team in June 2010.

“Every dollar that we have been able to save through our energy conservation efforts are dollars we can now use to help provide more and better opportunities for the students in our classrooms,” said John Gaier, District Administrator.

Over the last few years, the energy managers have listened to the needs of the district and used feedback from the building occupants to help implement appropriate energy projects.
