Loyal Runs Over Greenwood-Granton

The Loyal Greyhounds used a strong second half rushing attack and stingy defense to defeat Greenwood-Granton in high school football on Friday night 13-6.
Greenwood-Granton took the lead in the second quarter on a 21 yd pass play from Kole Hinker to Booker Bredlau. The 6-0 score held up to halftime.
In the second half it was all Loyal - offense and defense. Loyal got on the scoreboard about 4 minutes into the 3rd quarter on a 5 yard run by Dylan Much. The extra point was good and Loyal led 7-6.
Greenwood-Granton would not have possession very much in the second half and when they did they were unable to move the ball against the Greyhound defense.
Loyal (2-1) added one more score late in the 4th quarter on a 1 yard run by Mitch Pohlman.
Greenwood-Granton (2-1) finished with just 43 yards on the ground and 127 thru the air while Loyal finished with 208 yds on the ground and 74 yards passing. Both teams had 3 turnovers.
