Loyal School District Preparing for Upcoming School Year

-The Loyal School District continues to plan for the upcoming school year.
At their recent school board meeting, Cale Jackson, District Administrator, went over the budget for the upcoming school year.
The district is over budget by 215,000 dollars, however, Mr. Jackson said no reason to panic and a few minor trims and cuts would correct the problem.
He also said that school taxes would be up 9-10%, which is higher than last year, but not as high as two years ago.
Mr. Jackson also went over the recent wavier from the “No Child Left Behind Act” and the discussion of an Eau Claire alternative school, looking to open in this area, buying Loyal’s old administration building.
Finally, a new technology specialist, Title 1 teacher, and food service specialists’ hiring was approved.
