Medford Man Formally Charged

-A Medford man accused of stealing credit card information from customers has been formally charged.

Nicholas Johnson, age 19, is charged with six counts of fraudulently using a credit card for more than $10,000 and with 59 counts of identity theft.

The incident allegedly happened while Johnson worked at the AmericInn hotel in Medford late last year.

Johnson allegedly used customer credit card numbers to pay tuition and insurance bills.

Johnson is free on a $15,000 signature bond. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum sentence of more than 400 years in prison.
