Stanley Prison Inmates Appear in Court on Assault Charges

-Two Stanley Prison inmates made an appearance in Chippewa County Court on Tuesday.
Paul Golden, age 54, and Vern Stone, age 27, both face several charges including battery by prisoner.
On April 15th, Golden confronted a female guard during a contraband search and attacked her and another guard. Both guards suffered minor injuries in that incident.
Reports say 5 days later, Stone assaulted another prison guard. That guard also suffered minor injuries.
Both men are to remain in prison and had a $1000 bond filed against them. Also, they cannot abuse anyone verbally or physically.
Both men will appear in court again in September.
