Marshfield Native New Ag Station Superintendent

-A new superintendent has been named for The University of Wisconsin-Madison's Marshfield Agricultural Research Station.

Nancy Esser, a Marshfield native, has been hired to take over the day-to-day operations of the facility. She has served as the assistant superintendent for the past year.

Esser, is the seventh superintendent of the Marshfield station and first woman to serve in that capacity throughout the statewide Ag Research Station network.

Dwight Mueller, director of the UW-Madison’s Agricultural Research Station network said, "Nancy brings a tremendous commitment and passion to carrying out Marshfield's mission of conducting dairy research and outreach. She also brings a broad range of experience that will serve her well in her role as superintendent of the Marshfield Station."

Esser has a 20-year background in agricultural research, safety and production. She has also worked at the National Farm Medicine Center at Marshfield Clinic as an agricultural safety specialist.
