Busy Saturday for Neillsville Fire Department

-The Neillsville Fire Department responded to two incidents on Saturday.
The first was an ATV accident that occurred about a quarter mile north of Snyder Lake.
A man suffered minor injuries and the fire department helped load him into the ambulance and he was transported to the Memorial Medical Center.
As they were responding to the first call, they received another call for a silo fire on Hwy G.
The fire department climbed to the top of the silo and, using 8,000 gallons of water, they doused the fire from the top. They also used suppression foam to help stop the fire.
The fire department will continue to monitor the silo over the next couple days to make sure it doesn’t start again.
