La Cross County DA Says Koula is a "Man with Secrets"

-The La Crosse County District Attorney told a jury that Eric Koula is a “man with secrets.”
This was the opening statement, made this morning, of the state attorney that argues Eric Koula murder his parents for financial reasons.
The attorney continued saying that because Koula was overwhelmed with the growing credit card debt, back taxes, and his day trading career, he killed Dennis and Merna Koula to profit from their deaths.
The next day Koula allegedly forged a $50,000 dollar check from his father’s investment account and deposited it. The attorney said that Koula will testify he signed the check, but the State Crime Lab said the signature was written slowly and with hesitation.
The jury toured Dennis and Merna Koula’s former home in the town of Barre after the opening statements.
Attorneys listed 86 potential witnesses in the case that’s set through June 29.
