Marshfield Man Found Not Competent to Stand Trial

-A Marshfield man was found not competent to stand trial in Dane County Court.
Ralph Lang, age 64, has been charged with attempted homicide of an abortion clinic physician.
He was found not competent to stand trial for state charges, but his competency to face federal charges remains undecided.
Lang made threats against workers at a Madison Planned Parenthood Clinic in May 2011.
The competency reports were filed in federal court earlier this month, but remain under seal.
The state court decision caused the judge to postpone Lang's competency trial in federal court this Thursday, but he said one competency determination doesn't necessarily hinge on another.
