Neillsville advances to Regional Final

The Neillsville girls softball team improved to 22-1 with a 16-6 win over Edgar in their Regional Semi-Final yesterday in Neillsville.
The lady Warriors scored 6 times in the first inning and then added 3 runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings to pull away. Edgar scored twice in the 4th and then scored 4 more runs in the 5th.
Courtney Poeschel got the win allowing 6 runs on 5 hits. She also had 3 strikeouts and 4 walks. Offensively for Neillsville, Jenny Lindner was 3-4 with 4 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Katelyn Crothers was 3-5 with 3 runs scored and Taylor Henchen was 3-4 with 2 RBI's.
Neillsville (22-1) will now go against Marathon (15-7) in the Regional Final on Thursday at Neillsville.
