Area Lifters Excel At State Lifting Meet

Lifters from the area who train at the Neillsville High School Warrior weight room attended the SLP State Lifting meet in Baraboo on Saturday, May 19th.
Area participating lifters included:
Jillayne Opelt – Neillsville – 1st place and state records in the bench press, deadlift and curl
Ruard Ottmen – Neillsville – 1st place and state records in bench press, deadlift and curl
Austin Zipfel – Neillsville – 1st place in bench press, deadlift and a curl state record.
Aaron Watton – Neillsville – 1st place in deadlift and a curl state record.
Sean Stanga – Neillsville – 1st place in bench press, deadlift and a curl state record
Dan Brown – Neillsville – 2nd place in bench press and deadlift
Logan Grap – Neillsville – 1st place and state record in the curl
David Rock – Stratford – 1st place in bench press, deadlift and curl
John Grinz – Wausau – 1st place and state record bench press (515 lbs), 1st place and state record in body weight for reps on bench press (305 lbs x 22 reps)
As a team, Neillsville placed 1st as well.
