-Graduation is right around the corner for most high schools in the state.

New numbers released show that more than 90 percent of Wisconsin high school students graduated last school year, with slight increases for nearly every minority group even though they still lagged white students.

The state Department of Public Instruction reported Thursday that graduation rates in 2011 were 90.5 percent. That is up six-tenths of a percentage point from the 2009-2010 school year.

State Superintendent Tony Evers hails the latest results saying they are good news for the state.

The 90.5 percent rate was up 1.1 points from the 2008-2009 school year.
Graduation rates increased among most minorities, with American Indians the only group to see a decrease.
