Marshfield Man Sentenced for Sexual Assault

-A 27-year-old Marshfield man was sentenced in Wood County Circuit Court to two years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman.
According to the Marshfield News Herald, Jeffrey A. Gollhardt also received three years extended supervision to follow his prison sentence for third-degree sexual assault. During the sentencing April 11, Wood County Circuit Judge Nicholas Brazeau Jr. ordered Gollhardt to pay $585 plus $1,243.10 restitution, undergo any counseling deemed necessary, have no contact with his victim or her family, comply with the sex offender registry rules, maintain employment and give a DNA sample. The charge was reduced from a charge of second-degree sexual assault.
According the criminal complaint, on May 20, a woman was staying at the home of a Marshfield friend and had been drinking when Gollhardt took her into a bedroom. Gollhardt had intercourse with the woman, even though she told him "no."
