32nd Annual Men's Class B Basketball Tourney Results

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their 32nd, Annual Men’s Class “B” Basketball Tourney this past weekend at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.
Twelve teams competed in the day long event. Reigning as champion was “Rookies” of Eau Claire who defeated “Auburndale” in a highly contested ballgame for the gold ball. Placing third was the “Apaches” of Auburndale as they bettered “Twigs” of Shawano, for the bronze medals.
In the Consolation Bracket “Scruffy’s of LaCrosse and “Alice’s All Stars” of Neillsville were the top performers .
Also participating in the tourney was the “Silver Dollar” of Thorp, “Daniels” of Medford, “Marawood Construction” of Stratford, “Geist” of Stanley, “Doc’s Bunkhouse” of Merrillan and “JBC Printing” of Neillsville.
A great number of Neillsville High School alumni basketball players participated, making for a day of fun and reminiscing. Proceeds of the tournament go towards subsidizing youth sports at the Neillsville Recreation Department.
