Saturday was Perfect for Running at The Highground

-It was a perfect day for running this past Saturday.
At 8:30am on Saturday, March 24th, 59 runners left the starting line at The Highground. 22 ran the ½ Marathon and 37 the 5K.
Kevin Polsean of Granton completed the 5K with fastest time of 20:34. Jeff Andrew of Eau Claire crossed the finish line first for the ½ marathon with a time of 1:28.49. Congratulations to those two runners. Everyone who ran the races received a medal and a goody bag.
Amy Melvin of Neillsville decided she wanted to do this run event in memory of her mother Sandy Greene. Amy and her husband Shannon worked very hard preparing for this event. The Highground thanks the both of them. They also want to thank the Inman family for taking the lead in registering the runners and for tracking their times. It goes without saying; many volunteers were involved in making the event successful.
All the money received on Saturday will be donated to the Sandy Greene Memorial at The Highground and the Guatemala mission trip at Living Hope Church.
