Loyal School's 1-1 Computing Program Put on Hold

-Part of the Loyal School’s 1-1 computing program was decided to be put on hold during their board meeting Wednesday evening.

The Loyal School District has been talking about putting a computing device in the hands of Loyal Elementary students. The K-2nd grade students would receive a tablet device, (in this case) an iPad, and the rest of the grades would receive a laptop.

However the district found that the infrastructure is not ready to support that many laptops. The biggest thing the school would need to do in order to make it ready is to gain wireless internet.

However, the school would like to have iPads for the younger grades by next year. The laptops would need to be put on hold until the building is ready to accommodate that many devices.
