Owen Holds City Council Meeting

-The City of Owen had its City Council Meeting last night.

One item discussed was the use of the wooden bridge in Owen by semi-trucks. The city is concerned because the bridge is very old and its weight limit cannot support the heavy load of semis.

The semis use the bridge because their GPS takes them across it. The city has put up signs to keep them from going across the bridge, but the semis continue to use it. They are discussing putting up more signs and trying to decide what else could be done. For now the city has had more police officials patrolling the area around the bridge.
