Stanley Business Owner Robbed and Assaulted

-A business owner from Stanley was robbed and assaulted.

On Friday, February 10th, a masked, male individual entered Yellowstone Implement at 219 East First Avenue around 5:00 PM, robbed and physically assaulted the store owner who was alone in the store at the time. The 77 year-old business owner suffered a broken jaw and various head injuries from the physical assault which included the use of a metal tool. Several items have been collected from the scene and throughout the investigation which will require DNA and fingerprint analysis by the Wisconsin Crime Lab.

An arrest has been made in the incident and several felony and misdemeanor charges have been filed against Michael J. Hinzman of Cornell, including Armed Robbery, Substantial Battery to a Person Older than 62 Years Old, Intimidation of a Victim and Obstructing an Officer. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are likely. Additional details will be released as the investigation concludes.
