NGL Wrestling Fans Welcome Back State Wrestlers

Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal wrestling fans welcomed back the State wrestlers Sunday afternoon at the Neillsville High School.
State qualifiers Dan Schoen (2nd - 195), Mitchell Pohlman (qualifier - 160), Damien Luchterhand (4th - 152) and Phillip Opelt (5th - 113) were greeted by cheers as they exited the bus Sunday afternoon near the high school cafeteria.
For Luchterhand it was his 4th year as a State qualifier, Schoen qualified 3 years, and Pohlman and Opelt have each qualified for State twice.
Head Coach Scott Bryant was very pleased with how the season went saying that the co-op with Greenwood and Loyal was very successful as NGL finished 23-1 on the season including the Cloverbelt Championship, Regional championship, a trip to the Team Sectional and 4 individuals qualifying for the Individual State Tournament and 3 of them bringing back medals.
