Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal sending 4 to State

The Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal wrestling team will have 4 individuals at the State Individual Wrestling Meet next weekend at the Kohl Center in Madison..
Congratulations to Damien Luchterhand who finished as champion at 152 at the Oseola Individual Sectional on Saturday. Also advancing to State are Phillip Opelt who took 2nd at 113, Dan Schoen who took 2nd at 195 and Mitchell Pohlman who took 3rd at 160.
Also advancing to State from our area include:
Robert Csukker of Stanley-Boyd/Thorp - 126
Dan Schubert of Spencer/Columbus - 160
Nick Vaughan of Spencer/Columbus - 220
Chris Ladwig of Abbotsford/Colby - 285
Mitch Hertel of Marshfield - 132
Justin Sternweis of Marshfield - 182
The State Individual Wrestling Tournament will be held on February 23-25 at the Kohl Center in Madison -- a total of 224 wrestlers in Division 1 and 168 wrestlers in Divisions 2 and 3.
