Charges and Suspects in January Burglary/Theft Case

Numerous criminal charges are being referred to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for a variety of charges stemming from a complaint in early January.

During the investigation of a criminal damage complaint at Snyder Park in the Township of Hewitt on January 3rd, a deputy located an abandoned residence that had been recently lit on fire. The building was saved. This investigation led to numerous burglaries, thefts and criminal damage complaints in Clark County and multiple vehicle thefts in Marshfield.

After a detailed investigation by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, Neillsville and Marshfield Police Departments, nearly 100 criminal charges, involving 8 suspects are being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.

Sheriff Greg Herrick and the agencies involved would like to thank the citizens who provided any type of information in this case.
