SURGICALLY SEPERATED TWIN GIVES BIRTH

A Wisconsin woman who made headlines 27 years ago when she, along with her conjoined twin were surgically separated, is making news again.
Amy Hurt, of Antigo gave birth to daughter Phoenix Rain at Meriter Hospital in Madison. Several doctors had warned Amy and her husband, Aaron, about becoming parents because of all the previous surgeries Amy had endured.
The State Journal says neonatologist Dr. Frank Greer visited the new mother after she gave birth last month. Greer says there are relatively few conjoined patients who go on to deliver a child. He plans forward the case to a medical journal.
