NEILLSVILLE GIRLS WIN; BOYS FALL

The Neillsville girls basketball team won the Black River Falls Holiday Tournament while the Neillsville boys fell in the Thorp Holiday Tournament Championship. The Warrrior girls improved to 8-0 on the season with a 72-12 win over Black River Falls in the Black River Falls Holiday Tournament Championship game. McKenzie Trunkel led the way for Neillsville as she drained 9 three pointers for a game high 27 points while Jenny Lindner added 18 in the win. Neillsville get back into action on Thursday when they travel to Marshfield Columbus.
The Neillsville boys basketball team was beaten by Thorp in Thorp Holiday Tournament 34-26. Neillsville (2-6) will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the Colby Hornets at the Fieldhouse in Neillsville. You can hear the action live on 92.7 FM WPKG.
