WOMAN SHOT AND KILLED, MAN SHOT WHILE DRIVING NEAR CADOTT

A rural Cadott woman is dead after being shot during a deer drive on Tuesday. Officials say several members of the hunting party fired shots, and they’re still trying to determine who fired the shot that killed the woman.
Also, the DNR continues to investigate an incident in which a man was shot while driving his truck. A bullet from a 12-guage shotgun traveled through the man's vehicle and hit him in the leg. After realizing he wasn’t getting cell phone coverage the victim had the presence of mind to keep driving 15-miles to a travel plaza in Cadott. He talked to dispatch via 2-way radio and was airlifted to an Eau Claire Hospital. He’s expected to make full recovery.
