Two area men face multiple charges in connection with a significant poaching investigation.

27-year-old Chad Rupnow of Humbird and 28-year-old Justin Taylor of Taylor face ten counts of illegal shooting while shining.

Acting on tips, wardens tracked down the duo while they were shining last month and found a dead deer in the back of their truck, a loaded gun in the front seat and several sets of antlers. The alleged crimes took place in September and October.

The charges are misdemeanors, but carry a fine of not less than $1,000 and up to six months in jail, plus the revocation of hunting privileges for three years.

Their initial appearances are set for January 6.
