SPENCER MAN LOSES ARM IN FARM MISHAP

A Clark County man is in fair condition after losing an arm in a farming accident Wednesday.
Robert Knecht, 57, of Spencer was sharpening the blades on a forage harvester when his sweatshirt got caught in the moving parts, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Department.
The accident happened in a farm field about a quarter-mile from the man's house.
Knecht was able to call 911 and was assisted by family until paramedics arrived.
