FABRICATING SPECIALISTS HOPES TO ADD 150 JOBS

We have more information about Fabricating Specialists’ plans for the former Leeson Electric north building.

As we’ve reported, the city of Neillsville recently purchased both of the former Leeson buildings for $1.7 million and sold them to Fabricating Specialists, a division of Mayville Engineering, for $1.5 million.

On Tuesday, the company said they hoped to eventually add 150 new jobs.

They currently employ about 85 workers in the south building, where they manufacture form tube and welded assemblies.

The city will also pay Fabricating Specialists $4,000 for every job created, up to 50 jobs—or $200,000.

That money will come from a new pledge from the Listeman Foundation that will come in two annual installments of $100,000 a piece.
