HOW LOW WILL IT GO?

Gas prices are heading in the right direction for motorists: down.

In fact, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded is down about 25 cents in the past month to $3.44.

It has some analysts predicting we’ll see it dip below $3 per gallon.

While the price at the pump is refreshing, it’s still well above the $2.73 we were paying last year at this time.

You might remember the summer and fall of 2008 when gasoline went from $4.11 per gallon in July to just $1.97 by Thanksgiving. Analysts don’t expect a repeat of that performance.
