SUDDENLY FALL
Tuesday, September 13th, 2011 -- 11:33 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

The weather has taken an abrupt turn from summer to fall.

After a few days in the 80s, the highs Tuesday are only going to be in the mid-60s. Wednesday will be cooler still, with highs around 55.

And then, Wednesday night, there’s a chance of frost.

It’s actually not all that early for the first frost of the year. According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, our listening area usually gets the first frost of the year before September 25.

The first freeze of the year usually happens between September 21 and 30.
