STATE, LOCAL ACT TEST RESULTS RELEASED

Wisconsin students' average ACT scores increased this year over 2010, and most area schools exceeded the statewide average.
2011 graduates averaged 22.2 out of 36 on the college admissions test. That's up from 21.1 in 2010. The national average this year was 21.1.
Among the 27 states where at least 50% of students took the test, Wisconsin's score was third behind Minnesota at 22.9 and Iowa at 22.3.
In our area, Marshfield students averaged 24, Greenwood students 23.4, Neillsville 22.6, Loyal 22.2 and Granton 19.1.
