Experts with the United States Department of Agriculture expect Wisconsin apple producers will have a good harvest.
No damaging spring frosts and better overall better weather should allow producers to reap 43 million pounds of apples, a 17% increase over 2010.
Apple production nationwide is forecast to increase about 2% to 9.5 billion pounds.
Washington alone is expected to produce 5.4 billion pounds, a 3% drop from last year.
