The U.S. Department of Transportation has backed away from a plan to reclassify agricultural machinery as commercial vehicles.

That's good news for farmers, who would have had to get a commercial driver's license (CDL) to operate tractors on public roads. They would have also been forced to log mileage and get a medical cards.
