MARSHFIELD CLINIC MAY LOSE FUNDING FOR DENTAL FACILITY

The Marshfield Clinic might lose a $10 million state matching grant if the Rural Dental Outreach Center becomes a dental school, according to the Marshfield News Herald .
Gov. Scott Walker’s administration sent a letter to Clinic leaders saying the state grant money can’t be used to construct a dental school.
A spokesman for the Marshfield Clinic is quoted in the article as saying they don’t believe this is the "final word" in the debate.
The Marshfield Clinic has run into stiff opposition from the Marquette University's School of Dentistry and the Wisconsin Dental Association.
