SOUTH WINS BOTH WFCA ALL-STAR GAMES

Posted by Larry Hoeser, Sports Director

The South squads claimed victories in both WFCA All-Star Games played today at Titan Stadium on the campus of UW-Oshkosh. In the Division 4-7 game played in the afternoon, the South claimed an exciting 21-19 win. Clear Lake quarterback Matt O'Connell connected with Colby's Jeremy Rahm for an 11-yard score with just over a minute to go, but Brodhead-Juda linebacker Alex Wallace intercepted the pass to prevent what would have been a game-tying two-point conversion as the South held on to win. Meanwhile, the South defense was dominant in shutting out the North squad in the Division 1-3 game, 30-0.
