NEILLSVILLE PAVING JOB ALMOST DONE

The paving of Neillsville’s main street is almost done.
Project Superintendent Jason Weiker says crews were expected this morning to wrap up the paving of WIS 73, or Hewett St., on the city’s south side. The paving on the city’s north side should be complete by Friday afternoon.
Weiker says crews will do some shoulder painting next week and that will complete the project.
"It got a little hectic at the end of that 2-week closure, but we got the work done that we needed to," Weiker says. "Now, we're just trying to wrap up. If I shoulder paint and get the signs done next week, the city part should be done by the end of next week."
A bridge north of town on WIS 73 is also under construction. It’s open to one lane of traffic. Weiker says work on that project should be complete within a month.
American Asphalt of Wisconsin began work on the projects on June 13th.
